Forum introduction:

为进一步促进海内外优秀青年学者在精密光谱科学与技术领域的学术交流和深度合作,华东师范大学拟于2023年12月15日举行青年科学家(学者)国际论坛,精密光谱科学与技术国家重点实验室拟于2023年12月19日举行分论坛。诚邀各位青年学者在美丽的华东师范大学相聚,交流学术研究,增进彼此了解,加强合作,并进一步加强海内外青年科学家(学者)对精密光谱科学与技术国家重点实验室和华东师范大学的了解。

实验室论坛分为学校和实验室整体介绍、实验室参观交流以及青年学者学术报告交流与意向加盟专场面试等部分。至今,论坛已成功举办7期,来自海内外多个国家和地区200余位优秀青年学者参加交流讨论。

Forum introduction:

To further promote academic exchanges and in-depth collaboration between outstanding young scholars in the field of precision spectroscopy science and technology, East China Normal University (ECNU) is scheduled to host the International Forum for Young Scientists (scholars) on December 15, 2023, and State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy (SKLPS) plans to hold a sub-forum on December 19, 2023

We hereby invite global young scholars to attend the forum on the beautiful campus of ECNU. There, they would meet with each other, make scholarly exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and cooperation, and learn more about SKLPS and ECNU.

This year’s forum consists of several scenarios, including an overall introduction to ECNU and SKLPS, a lab visit, an exchange of ideas, an academic report session, and interviews. As of 2023, the forum has been hosted for a succession of seven years, attracting a total of more than 200 outstanding young scholars at home and abroad.

实验室分论坛拟定于12月19日举行,详情请关注实验室微信公众号:lps-shanghai,后续将发布论坛详细日程。本次论坛线上线下相结合,2023年特别欢迎线下参会,入选本次论坛作邀请报告者,实验室将适当支付报告薪酬,对于特别优秀学者或后期意向加盟学者,实验室另将适当支持国内外差旅费用等。

The forum is scheduled to take place on December 19, and further details will be released later. For more information, please follow our Wechat account (lps-shanghai). The forum is to be hosted both online and offline, and offline participation is particularly encouraged. Those who are selected to deliver a report at the forum will be appropriately paid by SKLPS. SKLPS will also pay for the domestic or international travel expenses of exceedingly outstanding scholars or scholars with the intention of joining the laboratory at the later stage.

青年科学家(学者)年龄一般在40周岁以下(特别优秀的可以适当放宽),具有海内外高校、研究机构博士学位,与实验室重点研究领域相关,且在所从事的学科前沿领域取得突出学术成果。

Young scientists (scholars) should generally be below 40 years of age, with a PhD degree earned from Chinese or foreign institutions of higher learning or research institutes. They should engage in research related to SKLPS key research areas and should have made outstanding academic achievements in the frontier research areas of their disciplines.

实验室简介:

SKLPS introduction:

精密光谱科学与技术国家重点实验室,依托华东师范大学,于2007年1月科技部批准筹建。拥有独立光学大楼,面积约25000平方米,包括环境一流和科研装备一流的光学超净实验室、装备精良的电子实验室、精加工实验室、微纳加工实验室、材料制备实验室、芯片测试诊断实验室等。

实验室现有教职工120余名,包括为科学研究配备专职化的工程技术和运行管理团队,在读研究生400余名,其中双聘院士2名、杰青等国家级优秀人才20余名、省部级优秀人才50余名,团队获国家自然科学基金委创新群体。精密光谱科学与技术国家重点实验室为国家创新引智111基地,光学学科为国家重点学科。相关成果三次获诺贝尔获奖演讲引用,获多项国家自然科学二等奖、上海市自然科学一等奖。在研国家重点研发计划项目、基金委创新群体项目、国家重大仪器研制项目、基金委重点项目、上海市市级重大专项等一百余项。在Science及其子刊、Nature及其子刊、Phys. Rev. Lett.等国际一流期刊发表论文数百篇。

Based in ECNU, SKLPS, now situated independently in the Optics Building, was approved for establishment by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China in January 2007. Covering an area of 25,000 square meters, it boasts clean rooms with a first-rate environment and scientific research equipment, well-equipped electronics labs, normal machining labs, micro-nano processing labs, material preparation labs, and chip testing and diagnosis labs.

SKLPS currently has more than 120 faculties and staff, including the full-time technical and administration teams that provide service to scientific research, and more than 400 postgraduate students. Among the faculty are 2 double-employed academicians, more than 20 national-level outstanding talents including winners of the Outstanding Young Scholar program, and more than 50 excellent talents at the ministerial and provincial levels. Their research teams have be granted the title of the innovation group by National Natural Science Foundation of China.

SKLPS serves as the base for Project 111, or the National Innovation and Talent Recruitment Base, and its discipline of optics is the national key discipline. Some of the academic achievements of SKLPS were cited three times by Nobel Prize winners. SKLPS Researchers have won many national awards, including second prize of the National Award for Natural Sciences and first prize of the Shanghai Award for Natural Sciences. They have spearheaded more than 100 major or key research projects at the national and municipal levels and have published several hundred academic papers in prestigious international journals, such as Science and Nature and their series and Physical Review Letters.

实验室主要聚焦光场时频域精密控制、新型光子芯片研发与制造、原子分子精密光谱与精密测量、微纳光子器件制备与集成、片上精密时频与量子测量集成、超灵敏精密光谱与传感、超快物性精密测量与调控研究等研究方向任务。实验室紧密光学学科前沿、结合国家战略和国民经济发展需求,不断挑战时间、空间和频率等基本物理量现有精度的极限,探索和建立新机制与新原理、新方法与新技术、新仪器与新装备,极具“三高”(即高分辨、高精度、高灵敏)鲜明特色。

SKLPS focuses on the following research areas: precise control of the optical field in the time-frequency domain, new photonic chip R&D and manufacturing, atomic and molecular precision spectroscopy and precise metrology, integration of micro-nano devices, ultra-sensitive precision spectroscopy and sensing, and manipulation of the ultrafast dynamics in the physical system. Closely following the frontiers of the optics discipline, the laboratory integrates national strategies and the demand for national economic development. It continues to challenge the limits of existing precision of such basic physical quantity as time, space, and frequency, explore new mechanisms, principles, methods, and technology, and establish new devices and equipment. Its research boasts distinctive advantages in optical spectroscopy with high resolution, high precision, and high sensitivity.

Founded in Shanghai on October 16, 1951 on the basis of Daxia University (1924-1951), Guanghua University (1925-1951), and some departments of St. John’s University (1879-1952), East China Normal University (ECNU) is a comprehensive research-based university jointly constructed by the Ministry of China and the People’s Government of Shanghai. It was sponsored by the national top university construction programs “Project 211” (1996) and “Project 985” (2006). In 2017, ECNU was chosen as one of the 36 Class A universities on the list of Double First Class University Plan released by the central government of China. With two main campuses in Minhang and Putuo districts, it is reputed to be “one of the most beautiful campuses” in China.

ECNU is home to 19 members from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering and more than 300 national-level experts. It boasts three national double first-class disciplines, two national first-level key disciplines, five national second-level key disciplines, five national key disciplines under cultivation, 12 Class-A disciplines according the fourth round of discipline evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education, six peak disciplines of Shanghai, 12 municipal key disciplines, and 17 municipal first-class disciplines.

SKLPS offers job opportunities to relevant researchers on a long-term basis. Successful applicants on all SKLPS posts shall enjoy due treatment offered by ECNU, Shanghai, and the country. 1.专任教师

(1)学术带头人

在专业领域有深厚的学术造诣,在相关领域的研究已取得国内外同行公认的突出成果。

(2)紫江优秀青年学者

应在海内外大学或研究机构获得博士学位或从事过博士后研究。申请者应已入选国家级青年人才计划项目或达到同等水平。工作目标是经过六年左右的培育,上岗者应入选“长江学者特聘教授”、 “国家万人计划领军人才”、“国家杰出青年基金”等国家高水平人才计划或达到同等水平或进入我校特聘教授序列。申请者年龄原则上不超过 40 周岁。

(3)紫江青年学者

应在海内外大学或研究机构获得博士学位或从事过博士后研究。已取得同行公认的高水平研究成果,有突出的发展潜质。工作目标是经过六年左右时间的培育,上岗者应入选国家级青年人才计划项目或达到同等水平,或晋升为正高级专业技术职务。申请者年龄原则上不超过 35 周岁。

(4)海内外公开招聘高级专业技术职务人员

学术水平高,具备海内外大学或研究机构的博士学位(应聘者原则上还应具有连续12个月及以上的博士后经历),有较好的学术积累和发展潜力,在本研究领域已取得同行公认的高水平研究成果,能胜任实验室相关领域科研任务。申请者若未有连续两年及以上的教学科研(正式教职)工作经历,仅能申请准聘副高岗位。应聘正高年龄原则上不超过 45周岁,应聘副高年龄一般不超过 35 周岁。

2.专职科研人员和博士后

专职科研岗位指在学校核定的教师岗位之外设立的、采用合同制方式聘用、专门从事科学研究、技术开发及大型设备管理等工作的专业技术岗位。该岗位招聘灵活、程序快速、可随时应聘和快速办理入职。薪资一般在20-50万元(含基本薪资、课题绩效、实验室绩效)。

专职科研人员分专任研究员、专任副研究员和专任助理研究员三类,专任研究员和专任副研究员须具有博士学位,科研能力和学术水平原则上应分别达到我校以科研为主的正、副研究员的聘用要求。专职科研人员系列招聘时间灵活,可随时应聘,满足条件即可入职,聘期内可以随时申请国家、上海市、学校各类人才计划和科研项目,满足条件即可随时应聘学校的紫江优秀青年学者、紫江青年学者、以及海内外公开招聘岗位等。

1. Full-time teachers

(1) Academic leaders

Applicants should have profound academic attainments in their respective field of study and should have obtained outstanding achievements recognized by the domestic and international academic communities.

(2) Zijiang outstanding young scholars

Applicants should have obtained a PhD degree from or have engaged in post-doctoral research in Chinese and foreign universities or research institutions. They should have been selected into national-level programs for young talents or have reached the same level of excellence. Successful applicants, after about six years of cultivation, should be able to be selected into national high-level talents programs including the “Changjiang Distinguished Professor Program”, “Leading Expert of National ‘Ten Thousands Talent Program’”, and “National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars”, or should have reached the same level of excellent, or should be employed as the chair professor of ECNU. The applicants should, in principle, be less than 40 years of age.

(3) Zijiang young scholars

Applicants should have obtained a PhD degree from or have engaged in post-doctoral research in Chinese and foreign universities or research institutions. They should have obtained high-level research results recognized by the academic community and should possess outstanding potential for development. Successful applicants, after about six years of cultivation, should be able to be selected into national programs for young talents, or should reach the same level of excellence, or should be promoted into professorship. The applicants, in principle, should be less than 35 years of age.

(4) Full professors or associate professors

Applicants should have obtained a PhD degree from Chinese and foreign universities or research institutions and should have, in principle, engaged in post-doctoral research for 12 months in succession or longer. They should have relatively good academic accumulation and potential for development, have obtained high-level research results recognized by the academic community, and be competent in their research tasks in the relevant areas of study. In case the applicants do not have two years of teaching or research experience (full-time teaching experience) in succession, they can only apply for posts of associate professorship. Applicants who apply for professorship and associate professorship should not exceed 45 and 35 years of age, respectively.

2. Full-time researchers and post-doctors

Full-time research posts refer to the professional technical posts set up by the university other than the university-approved teaching posts. These posts are contract-based, employing applicants who engage solely in scientific research, technological development, and management of large equipment. Applicants for such posts can be employed at any time and start to work rapidly. Their annual income, which consists of the basic salary and performance bonuses from research projects and the laboratory, averages at 200-500 thousand yuan.

Full-time researchers consist of three types: full-time research fellows, full-time associate research fellows, and full-time assistant research fellows. Applicants in the first two types must have a PhD degree and should, in principle, satisfy the requirement of ECNU for research fellows and associate research fellows, respectively, in terms of their scientific research ability and academic achievements.

Full-time researchers can be employed at any time and can start to work so long as they meet the required conditions. During the time of employment, they can apply, at any time, for talent programs and research projects at the national, municipal, and university levels. As soon as they meet the required conditions, they can also apply, at any time, for the university’s talent programs including Zijiang Outstanding Young Scholars and Zijiang Young Scholars, and for other Chinese and foreign posts for employment.

Applicants for post-doctoral research must have a PhD degree obtained no more than three years before their post-doctoral application. They should be less than 35 years of age and their area of study should fall into the requirements set up by the relevant research teams.
